A participant in the Durinck DNA research failed to show a close relationship to that line, but when I checked the results with mine - there was a near perfect match. The participant was from Germany with the last name of Duering or Düring. I have not yet contacted the participant to check further, but so far it is the closest match I have found. Anyone wishing to help in this research should contact me. I will be traveling to Germany this April 2007 - I hope to somehow find our connection in Europe.

DNA Could Solve the Derringer - Derendinger Dilema

If a Derendinger would be willing to do the DNA test, we might be able to confirm or discount the connection between the Derringer and Derendinger line.
